From the toe-tapping tunes of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington to the jazzy film and TV themes of Henry Mancini, you'll surely recognise and love every single number. Rhapsody in Blue Sat 6th June 2020 7.30pm at the Pilbeam Theatre Jazz, blues and classical music unite in an exciting fusion as the Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra presents George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. You will be spellbound by Concert Pianist Simon Tedeschi - winner of Symphony Australia’s Young Performer of the Year award; a recording artist with Sony Music Australia; and an ARIA award nominee. Simon will perform alongside phenomenal clarinet and saxophone virtuoso, Andy Firth, who is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding jazz clarinet players in the world today.
