The Capricornian proudly presents ICONIC, an evening of musical magic with Rockhampton Symphony Orchestra and Rhonda Janes, icon of stage and cabaret. Conductor Owen Clarke will sweep you away on a symphonic journey that blends timeless classics, cinematic masterpieces and virtuoso performances.

Rhonda Janes’ powerful voice will resonate through the concert hall as she performs unforgettable hits Send in the Clowns and You’re the Voice. RSO Concertmaster Lynn Byun will captivate you with Morricone’s exquisite Love Theme from “Cinema Paradiso.” Close your eyes and let the music transport you to the silver screen.

Cinematic classics will come alive as the orchestra pays homage to iconic soundtracks including James Bond 007, the spy who loved music; Indiana Jones, adventure and epic melodies; How to Train Your Dragon, a soaring fantasy score; Pirates of the Caribbean, swashbuckling tunes that set sail.

Prepare for goosebumps as we delve into symphonic icons including An American in Paris, Gershwin’s jazzy love letter to the City of Light; The Moldau, Smetana’s flowing river of melodies and the triumphant grandeur of Wagner’s thunderous Ride of the Valkyries.
